Paula Mooney, MSPT, has been treating patients for 23 years, twelve of those years in Southwest Colorado and eleven years in Phoenix, Arizona. Her passion for a higher level of patient care has lead her to open her own clinic here in the Pine River Valley, where she is raising her family. Paula had specialized in pediatrics for the first 10 years of her career while living in Phoenix, Arizona. She has worked in many different specialties including hospitals, rehab facilities, home health care, schools and out patient clinics. Paula has continued her professional growth throughout her career allowing her to expand her clinical skills and expertise in patient treatment.
Paula graduated with a degree in Biology from St. Anselm College in Manchester NH. She received her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell in 1993.
Don Mooney is Paula’s husband and business manager. He has over 25 years of healthcare experience working in several diverse aspects of healthcare delivery. Don brings his experience opening several primary care clinics in the Southwest Colorado area and is responsible for the overall financing of the clinic, contracting with regional and national insurance companies, and working with our billing company to ensure that patient’s balances are processed accurately and timely. Michael is our new physical therapy assistant. Michael joined the clinic in October 2017 after working the past two and a half years in Pagosa Springs. He is a 2014 graduate of San Juan College and has 15 years experience as a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. His past experience working with athletes and strong background in athletic training allows us to provide a new and exciting level of care for our patients. Michael also has expertise in myofacial release, trigger point therapy, and sports massage.
Echo is our sweet golden that greets patients as they come into the clinic. He is 12 years old this year and loves spending time with patients.
